Scotiabank has joined the team for the IBAF World Junior AAA
Baseball Championship as a keynote sponsor.
Not only will it provide a wide-range of financial services to the organizing committee and visiting teams, but many of its staff members in Edmonton
will be volunteers.
In recognition of this sponsorship, the Championship trophy
will be
designated the "Scotiabank Trophy."

An Alberta broadcasting company and a fledgling Edmonton brewery have joined forces in a unique way to become a major sponsor of the upcoming IBAF World Junior AAA Baseball Championship.
New Cap Radio Alberta, which operates K-Rock 97.3, Capital FM
and CFCW, will provide significant promotion of the 12-country event, while Amber’s Brewing Company will produce a special K-Rock beer for sale at Telus Field and John Fry Park, July 25 through August 03.
A lot of volunteers are going to be happy to hear that Pizza 73 is a
sponsor of the 2008 World Junior AAA Baseball Championship.
This fast-growing Canadian company, with 29 outlets in the Edmonton
area, will once again provide the Pizza 73 Volunteer Centre at Telus
Field, July 25 thru August 3.
Darren Wagner, Pizza 73's Vice-President for Operations in Western
Canada, said his company believes very strongly in supporting volunteer
community events.
"We are part of the community and are proud to be associated with this
international competition and its emphasis on youth," he added..

Courtesy vehicles are being provided by Crosstown Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, who were also a major sponsor in the 2004 World Cup of Women’s Baseball.
OTHER OFFICIAL SPONSORS
West Edmonton Mall will once again provide the uniforms for
the batboys/girls working with the 12 national teams in the 2008 World Junior
AAA Championship. After the tournament, the batboys/girls will keep the
uniforms as souvenirs of this international event.
WEM, one of the best- known shopping and entertainment
centres in the world, has been a sponsor in four previous international
competitions organized by the EIBF.
The volunteers in the World Junior competition will be easy to spot. They will be wearing the eye-catching jackets provided by Ed Bean and his company, CRYSTAL GLASS, another long-time sponsor.
Waste Services Industries (WSI) will play
a key role in keeping Telus Field clean and presentable by providing
first-class waste removal during the championship.When one talks about loyalty of sponsors, The Brick immediately comes to mind.
This company, founded in Edmonton in 1971 by Bill Comrie, has become one of the largest volume retailers of furniture, appliances and home electronics in Canada. And it has stepped to the plate by sponsoring every one of the seven EIBF events, dating back to 1981!
Stantec, founded in Edmonton in 1954 by Dr. Don Stanley as a one-man engineering firm has grown into one of the leading engineering and global design companies in North America. Despite its international scope, it still maintains its head office in Edmonton.

Since its inception in 1978, All Weather Windows has been the leader in the Canadian window and door industry. The gold, silver and bronze medals which will be awarded in this competition are sponsored by Gerry Gilroy and Independent Jewellers, Canada’s largest diamond dealer! It’s logo says it all: “Still the Biggest… Still the Best!”

Commencing operation in 1982, Impark Edmonton has grown substantially over the years and now operates in excess of 20,000 parking stalls.
